The Firm

Baker Ellis Asset Management LLC was founded in 2002 by Brian C. Baker, CFA, and Barnes C. Ellis. The two partners are the sole owners of the investment advisory firm and collaborate on all aspects of growing and managing wealth for our clients.

Baker Ellis is an independent, fee-based advisory firm. Rather than selling investment products, we are partners in helping our clients achieve their long-term investment objectives. We receive no commissions from transactions, and have a natural incentive to minimize costs.

Our investment style is value-oriented, with a global scope. We are patient, long-term investors who seek to participate in the long-term growth of successful companies purchased at attractive prices. Our accounts typically are balanced and diversified among individual equities, passive and active mutual funds, fixed income and other asset classes.

We currently manage over $500 million for individuals, company pension plans, charitable foundations and trusts. Our clients typically choose to have us manage most or all of their investable assets, enabling us to advise them effectively on a broad range of financial issues and develop meaningful relationships through the long-term implementation of investment strategy.
